Bluestone is dense, hard, fine grain sandstone of blue-green, blue grey color and is quarried in eastern United States. It tends to be a durable and relatively easy to clean product.

Limestone is extremely durable, it's a rock that is formed by accumulation of organic remains (such as shells or coral) and consists mainly of calcium carbonate. It does, however, absorb water and since it is a carbonate rock, it is highly reactive when exposed to acids or even mildly acidic rain water.

All bluestone pricing comes with a honed (smooth) or thermal (rough) finish on the top and includes three rocked edges (hand chiseled). Additional rocked edge is an extra charge. Honed or thermal edges are additional. Standard bluestone thickness is 2".
